It’s important to keep in mind that China has an unbroken civilization dating back thousands of years. The century of humiliation caused by western attempts to colonize China is a short term event in the grand scheme of things. Chinese have a much longer view than people in the west, and they see the whole western civilization as a blip.

Meanwhile, the whole strength of BRICS comes precisely from the fact that it’s not a hierarchical system in the style the US tried to build. It’s a set of sovereign countries that work with each other to find win-win solutions. It’s not a coercive system, and they don’t have to be fully aligned on everything. If anything, climate change will require increased levels of cooperation from humanity, and it will be those who manage to look past zero sum outcomes and work towards positive sum outcomes who will come out victorious.

in the future: as brics nations work together towards ameliorating the effects of climate change to keep their populations fed, watered & sheltered, thus diminishing their capabilities; the g7 will continue to expand their already dominant financial and military control over the g20 & other vassal states through their access to abundant natural resources in canada, greenland, africa & the caucuses while continuing to further contribute to climate change in the process.

First of all, BRICS is already a bigger economic bloc than the G7. Second, BRICS is where majority of resources and manufacturing is happening, which means in real terms their economy is far more relevant to the world. Finally, the G7 is now fighting itself with the trade war the US started. The financial and military control the west had over the world started collapsing after the west started their proxy war with Russia, and the collapse is only accelerating now. The US will likely manage to carve up a sphere of influence for itself, but it’s quite clear that they’re overstretched already.
