I’ve been in Prague for 10 years and never came across any kind of scam.
Also, prices have gone up a lot in recent years, it’s not that cheap anymore.
Yeah it’s mostly Indian recruiters. Just hear them out when they contact you. They actually need people. When I apply for vacancies, I got nothing. Never heard about payback schemes or anything.
I’m normally not very lucky. Maybe it helps to look like you’re not that interested?
In-person interviews are not a thing anymore since the pandemic, from what I’ve seen. LinkedIn is the place to go. Recruiters will schedule a call and they’ll usually remind you an email is on the way.
I don’t want to work. I want to take a year off. Yet, I got a job interview and I’m not even looking.

or for the selfish reason that it would make your socioeconomic situation more difficult?
No. My kid will grow up in a bad place and I won’t have time to spend with it. I don’t have a pet for the same reasons.
Population growth is not my main concern. If I have to live in a filthy city, work full-time and barely have money to support myself, I don’t see why I should consider having a child.
People that don’t want children usually think of the potential wellbeing of a future human. People that do want children, usually do so for selfish reasons. It makes sense people who think of environment or other people are more lefties.
Morning:
Make a coffee, grab a yogurt, back to bed to eat and drink. Get up, get dressed. Turn on laptop. Lie down in bed with laptop. Coffee and a cigaret on the balcony.
Evening:
Brush my teeth. Undress. Lie down. Watch a show/movie. (Try to) sleep.
Yeah, 10 years ago you could get a meal for €4. Now you pay double. Beer prices tripled. Not to mention supermarkets, rent etc.
