Yeah, I could stomach the price of the console, but no way am I ever going to pay those outrageous prices that never go down for first party games, and without those there’s no point in getting a Switch 2 over a Steam Deck. I’ll have a lot of Nintendo games to catch up on once decent Switch 2 emulators are a thing.

Nintendo can and has pushed the greed too far for even Nintendo fans before. Wii U and 3DS at launch being fairly recent examples.
I don’t THINK that’s how tariffs work - I’m pretty sure it’s physical goods only - but I’m no expert, so I guess we’ll see.
There are other perks, but most of them feel like problems they’re creating and then selling you the solution to rather than genuine value.

Yes, and I’ve played them all multiple times. I was referring to NEW Marios and Zeldas. Metroid, too, but Prime 4 will at least be on Switch 1 and who knows when or if the next one will happen.
And 60fps! Well, not for me, I’ll be playing on original Switch hardware.
No Zelda or Mario will hurt. But Nintendo’s decided I’m just too poor to be worthy of playing their games any more.

Nintendo deliberately exited the Real Console wars after the Gamecube. This is an interesting time for them to decide to re-join it.

…on top of all the other “It’s only $X!” subscription services out there. If it’s the ONLY subscription you have, sure, that’s not bad, but how common is that?
