1710·9 days agoImagine if you could go on the Nintendo store and buy a game you couldn’t even run, or had to check a third party website to see if it ran acceptably and let you use all the buttons.
Sorry, I love Linux and wish everybody was on it but no way is Windows “just as hard”. Maybe if you want to look behind the curtain and start tinkering Linux is easier but on the face of it I’d say Linux is somewhere around early Windows XP when it comes to usability for a normal person.
I’m not as against this as everyone else. If you want a AAA game without microtransactions, in-game advertising, and all the other bullshit you get nowadays, you’re gonna have to expect the company will want to make that money up in other places. Games have been like £50/$60 since the N64 days and we’ve been lucky that the prices haven’t risen with inflation.
